Why understanding alone isn't enough
Knowing what's happening in your brain is a real starting point. It gives you language for an experience that probably felt vague and discouraging before. It moves you out of self blame and into something more accurate. That matters, and it isn't nothing.

You can know exactly what's happening and still feel your body react, your mind spiral, your old coping strategies take over before you can pause.
